Hawaian Lomi Lomi

$135.00

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi is an Ancient Sacred Spiritual practice that may be performed with or without emollient. The practitioner always begins by saying a prayer to themselves. Then proceeds by placing their hands gently on the client and remaining still for a few moments. The client is asked to breathe deeply to help them relax before their session begins. Practitioners use the palms, forearms, fingers, knuckles, elbows, knees, feet, even sticks, and stones when applying this ancient healing art form. In this Ancient practice, Modern practitioners who are taught this healing modality are learning to apply it with the intention of Love.

Lomi Lomi is best known for long, flowing, dance-like strokes, often using the forearms and generous amounts of oil. Gentle stretches and joint rotations are common in this practice. The Practitioner generally is massaging two parts of your body at the same time, for example, using one hand or forearm on your shoulder while simultaneously massaging a hip with the other hand or forearm. Both massaging two areas at the same time and the long flowing strokes are believed to promote harmony and balance in your body. The difference between Swedish massage and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi is "loving touch."
