What is Reiki ?
The word Reiki means universal life energy. Reiki is a relaxation technique that works with the body and its energy system to reduce stress and promote well-being.
The system of Reiki was developed in Japan in 1914. The practitioner places their hands on or near a location of the body that is in need. Many people report that they feel heat or tingling sensations coming from the practitioner's hands. It is a very gentle and effective method of healing. Almost everyone reports a feeling of relaxation after experiencing a Reiki treatment.
What does Reiki Heal ?
Reiki works on aspects of the body including the physical, emotional, mental, and the spiritual levels. Reiki is considered to be both Complementary and Intergrative Health Care as it works as a compliment to any therapies. As well as working in conjunction with moder medicine.

COURSE CURRICULUM : LEVEL 1
The most important principle engaged in class practice and discussion is
the existence of life force energy. This course provides each student with
the Reiki Level 1 attunement, a special process experienced within class
to attain individual connectivity to the Reiki energy source.The curriculum covered provides an introduction to:
- Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction
- How Reiki works
- Different Uses of Reiki
- The History of Reiki
- A review of Japanese Reiki Techniques: Gasho Meditation, Byosen
Scanning, Kenyoku, Koki-ho, Jachi-Kiri-Joka-ho, Gyoshi-ho and
Enkaku Chiryo - A guided relaxing meditation
- Reiki Level 1 attunement
- An energy flow exercise and practice for students to feel the energy in
oneself - How to visualize auras
- Reiki hand positions to treat oneself and others
- Bio-energy balancing with the use of Reiki
- A demonstration and practice on how to utilize Dr. Usui's technique
using the Three Pillars of Reiki in a Reiki session - A demonstration and practice on how to offer a complete Reiki

This course, a Reiki practitioner's third and necessary step toward
becoming a Reiki Master Teacher, offers a powerful symbol and advanced
techniques for the use of Reiki energy. Time and again, students have
reported marvelous results utilizing the methods learned within this one-
day class.

Japanese Reiki Techniques - The Usui Master symbol attunement, to strengthen one's ability with

assists in removal of blockages and increases one's positive energy

This course prepares the practitioner to become a Reiki Master Teacher in
the tradition of the Usui/Tibetan system. In this class, each Master Teacher
apprentice learns how to apply all Reiki symbols and techniques for all Reiki
attunements, with Reiki Master Teacher supervision and guidance. The
student is mentored on how to properly administer the Reiki attunements for
initiations and Reiki sessions.

KARUNA REIKI 850 $
Karuna Reiki® is used by Reiki healers and teachers in their everyday lives
and is a modality that is gaining ground in the worldwide healing
community. This comprehensive and complete system enhances the
Reiki healing abilities of Reiki practitioners and complements the practices
for Reiki Masters of all lineages.
Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is also used in Buddhism. It is translated to
mean an action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and could
also be translated as 'compassionate action', a philosophical principle
taught in this course. Karuna also develops one's mindfulness and assists
individuals with identifying and healing the 'shadow self' to bring about
spiritual cleansing, transformation and renewal.
When a healing process is initiated with Karuna Reiki®, special stages of
healing take place. As you develop Karuna in yourself, not only are you
helping others, but you also become more receptive and aware to Karuna
that is available and is being sent by all enlightened beings. They are
continually sending harmonizing energy and guidance. In applying the
teachings of Karuna Reiki® within yourself, you will develop to attract
these energies to assist you. Thus, you improve your health and the
healing of your client is improved with greater results and understanding.
Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher is offered by Skye-Yoga studio
as a 3-day weekend course. The course is comprised of two
levels which include two attunements, four master symbols and eight
therapy symbols. You will find Karuna Reiki® symbols applied on the
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels contribute to higher
dimensional healings, a more profound understanding of spiritual
compassion, and will open new channels for your personal growth and the
growth of your Reiki practice.

Course discription
Prerequisite: Reiki Master Teacher
Duration: 3 Days
This program offers a more advanced Reiki system and is an expression
of the evolving nature of Reiki. This course will provide you the knowledge
and practice to apply Reiki and Karuna Reiki® energies to work at a deeper
level, with additional symbols and specific expanded intentions and
techniques.
Provided within the course are two levels that include two attunements,
four master symbols and eight therapy symbols. The Karuna Reiki®
symbols applied on the emotional and spiritual levels allow a deeper
harmony and balance within. Those who receive the attunements report
experiences with their guides, angels, and higher self and feel the helping
presence of other enlightened beings.
A brief description of the four Karuna Reiki® 1 symbols are given here:
- The first symbol prepares the client by facilitating removal of deep
negative energies and is helpful
______past life issues or inherited conditions, to benefit with this blessed
opportunity to over-come karma and deeply seated issues on the
cellular level.
- The second symbol clears deeply and can be used to break up the
negative patterns individuals consciously or unconsciously use to
insulate themselves from the truth, thus shattering delusion
______and denial. It harmonizes the shadow self.
- The third symbol fills the person with love and restores balance.
- The fourth symbol completes the session by bringing the client back
into the body and grounding

The Karuna Reiki® 2 symbols are of a higher vibration and are more
precise. They facilitate to connect directly with the higher self and work at
a deeper level. While they have specific purposes discussed in class, the
experience of their energy allows intuitive guidance in their use.
